Precious Metals Explorer Shines on Silver, Gold Results

Mexican gold and silver drill results sparked a bit of speculation in shares of a precious metals explorer Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, December 5, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):

Radius Gold Inc. (TSXV:RDU) shares jumped 32% to $0.125 on Tuesday after the precious metals explorer announced results from its initial drill program at the Amalia Gold-Silver Project in Mexico, which included 26 metres of 7.08 g/t gold and 517 g/t silver.

As well, shares of Yellowhead Mining Inc. (TSXV:YMI) soared 123% to $0.89 as the copper junior said it has agreed to be acquired by Taseko Mines Limited (TSX:TKO) in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $15.1 million. Yellowhead shareholders will receive 1.1484 common shares of Taseko for each Yellowhead share held.

AGT Food and Ingredients Inc. (TSX:AGT), meanwhile, reported that it has agreed to go private at a price of C$18.00 per share in cash. AGT Food stock moved up 10% to $17.45 following the announcement.
