Financial guidance made more than a few shareholders happy Friday, while a downgrade weighed on a well-known energy name. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, February 19, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):
In-Touch Survey Systems Ltd. (TSXV: INX) shares shot up 27% to $0.405 on Friday after the mobile data capture company announced that its 2015 revenue has exceeded $10 million, resulting in a growth rate of more than 20% for the year. The Company added that based on the current customer orders and the strength of its plans for 2016, it is forecasting growth of 40% in 2016, which will result in revenue in excess of $14 million.
As well, shares of Encana Corporation (TSX: ECA) slipped 11% to $4.32 as the North American energy producer saw its senior unsecured notes downgraded to Ba2 from Baa2 by credit rating agency Moody’s.
Garibaldi Resources Corp. (TSXV: GGI), meanwhile, reported that recent mapping and broadly-spaced sampling at its 100%-owned Rodadero Silver-Gold Project in Mexico, in advance of fresh drilling, has outlined three new mineral horizons surrounding the Silver Eagle deposit west and up to 350 meters north of discovery hole SE-14-01. Garibaldi Resources stock eased 5% to $0.11.
