Euro Sun Mining Inc. (TSX:ESM), a junior miner, climbed after receiving its exploitation permit and mining license for the Rovina Valley gold and copper project
A government green light to mine gold and copper lit a fire under the shares of a junior miner Monday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Monday, November 12, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):
Euro Sun Mining Inc. (TSX:ESM) shares surged 30% to $0.91 on Monday after the junior miner announced the completion of the ratification process of its exploitation permit and mining license for the Rovina Valley gold and copper project in Romania.
As well, shares of Ventripoint Diagnostics Ltd. (TSXV:VPT) climbed 27% to $0.21 as the medical technology company said that St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto has ordered Ventripoint’s AI-based VMS+ complete heart analysis system for use in clinical evaluations of cardiac patients.
POET Technologies Inc. (TSXV:PTK), meanwhile, reported that it has received its first orders for POET Optical Interposer-based solutions from leading global communications companies targeting data communication applications. The orders include sales and development contracts with a value in excess of US$3 million. POET Technologies stock moved up 15% to $0.305 following the announcement.
Finally, Canada Carbon (TSXV:CCB) shares gained 30% to $0.15 after the graphite junior announced that it has received a positive ruling from the Superior Court of Quebec, saying that Canada Carbon’s $96 million damages claim against Grenville-sur-la-Rouge does not meet the characteristics of a Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation action.
