Plans to create a gold mine in Ontario garnered some interest in a junior gold stock Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):
Junior gold stock Orefinders Resources Inc. (TSXV: ORX) climbed 10% to $0.055 on Wednesday after announcing a strategic partnership with SCR Mining and Tunnelling to develop the Mirado Gold Mine, located 35 km southeast of the Town of Kirkland Lake in northeastern Ontario.
As well, shares of Ceapro Inc. (TSXV: CZO) slipped 17% to $1 as the biotechnology company said its first-quarter sales fell to $3.18 million from $4.06 million during the same period last year.
Bee Vectoring Technologies (TSXV: BEE), meanwhile, reported what it called “successful, verified results” from large commercial scale demonstrations of its crop production system, with strawberry growers in Florida. Bee Vectoring Technologies has developed bee vectoring technology that is designed to harmlessly utilize bumblebees and honeybees as natural delivery mechanisms for a variety of powdered mixtures comprised of organic compounds that inhibit or control common crop diseases, while at the same time enhancing crop vigor and productivity. Its stock moved up 21% to $0.34 following the announcement.
