Torex Gold Resources Inc. (TSX:TXG), a junior gold miner, jumped after announcing record Q2 2019 gold production

Shining production numbers sparked buying interest in shares of a junior gold miner Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):

Torex Gold Resources Inc. (TSX:TXG) shares continued to move higher Wednesday, up 8% to $14.64 following a 3% gain on Tuesday, after the junior gold miner announced Q2 2019 gold production of 113,600 ounces, about 12% higher than the previous quarterly production record set in Q3 2018.

As well, shares of CannTrust Holdings Inc. (TSX:TRST) slipped 13% to $4.12 as the Canadian cannabis company’s products were pulled from the shelves of the Ontario Cannabis Store after Health Canada said it was non-compliant with certain regulations.

LexaGene Holdings, Inc. (TSXV:LXG), meanwhile, reported that the test results from its first beta prototype placed at the Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital has exceeded Company expectations. LexaGene stock moved up 23% to $0.69 following the announcement.
