Junior Gold Miner Climbs on Drill Results

West African assay results propelled shares of a junior gold miner Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, January 16, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):

Roxgold Inc. (TSX:ROXG) shares gained 9% to $0.95 on Thursday after the junior gold miner announced updated drilling results from its Séguéla gold project in Côte d’Ivoire, which included 42 metres of 16.97 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.

As well, shares of GFG Resources Inc. (TSXV:GFG) sank 43% to $0.17 as the precious metals explorer revealed assay results from the 2019 drill program at the Rattlesnake Hills Gold Project in Wyoming, which included 0.55 g/t gold over 57.7 metres along with another interval where no significant gold grades were returned.

CANEX Metals Inc. (TSXV:CANX), meanwhile, reported that it has received results from a high-resolution drone magnetic survey conducted at its Gold Range Property in Arizona, which showed multiple large-scale structures in multiple orientations. CANEX Metals stock moved up 12% to $0.19 following the announcement.

Finally, FLYHT Aerospace Solutions Ltd. (TSXV:FLY) shares jumped 19% to $1.78 after the provider of global flight tracking data announced that it has secured a US$6.2 million contract with WestJet to install FLYHT’s Automated Flight Information Reporting System.
