Junior Gold Miner Shines on Colombia JV Update

Orosur Mining Inc. (TSX:OMI), a junior gold miner, climbed after Agnico Eagle Mines joined its Colombia joint venture

A second major’s interest in a Colombian project sparked speculation in shares of a junior gold miner Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):

Orosur Mining Inc. (TSX:OMI) shares shot up 100% to $0.17 on Wednesday after the junior gold miner announced that Newmont Corporation informed it that Agnico Eagle Mines has joined the joint venture to advance the Anzá Project in Colombia as a 50-50 partner with Newmont. Newmont can earn a 51% ownership interest in Anzá by spending US$10.0 million in qualifying project expenditures over four years to September 2022.

As well, shares of Stingray Group Inc. (TSX:RAY.A) rose 10% to $5.92 as the music and media technology company said its commercial services division has signed an agreement with Space Factory Media to represent Stingray products and services for in-store music, digital experiences and AI-driven consumer insights for brands and businesses. Stingray Group also announced an agreement to provide in-store media solutions for Boston Market.

HPQ Silicon Resources Inc. (TSXV:HPQ), meanwhile, reported that its HPQ Nano Silicon Powders subsidiary has received a request for Spherical Nano Silicon powders from “a major automobile manufacturer.” HPQ Silicon stock popped 26% to $0.53 following the announcement.

Finally, Naturally Splendid Enterprises Ltd. (TSXV:NSP) shares gained 7% to $0.075 after the food manufacturer announced that it has signed an exclusive sales and distribution agreement for a line of plant-based, meat alternative products with Australia’s BettaLife Global Food Solutions.
