Confidence from some big-money backers lifted a gold junior Wednesday, while a software stock plummeted following a court ruling. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):
Timmins Gold Corp. (TSX: TMM) shares climbed 43% to $0.15 on Wednesday after the gold miner with operations in Mexico announced that it has agreed to an amended and restated credit facility in which Goldcorp would act as co-lender with Sprott in the credit facility and the maturity date of the facility would be extended to June 30, 2016.
As well, shares of 01 Communique (TSXV: ONE) plunged 84% to $0.055 on volume of more than 19.5 million shares as the software as a service provider said the jury in its patent litigation case against Citrix Systems, Inc. has decided that Citrix did not infringe 01 Communique’s patent, and that 01 Communique’s patent is valid.
Capstone Infrastructure Corporation (TSX: CSE), meanwhile, reported that it has agreed to be acquired by a subsidiary of a fund managed by U.K.-based Icon Infrastructure for C$480 million, or $4.90 per share. Capstone Infrastructure stock popped 37% to $4.67 following the announcement.
