Jaguar Mining Inc. (TSE:JAG), a junior gold miner, moved higher after announcing drill results from the Pilar Gold Mine in Brazil

More than a few speculators took a shine to drill results from a junior gold miner Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):
Jaguar Mining Inc. (TSX: JAG) shares climbed 17% to $0.31 on Wednesday after the junior gold miner announced results from three deep drill holes (1,348 m) as part of its growth exploration program at the Pilar Gold Mine in Brazil, which included 15.9 g/t gold over 11.8 metres.
As well, shares of NYX Gaming Group Limited (TSXV: NYX) soared 107% to $2.34 as the digital gaming provider said it has agreed to be acquired by Scientific Games Corporation for C$2.40 per share in cash, or an enterprise value of approximately C$775 million
Encanto Potash Corp. (TSXV: EPO), meanwhile, reported that it has secured a commitment for a C$100 million funding facility, in which GEM Investments America, LLC and GEM Global Yield LLC SCS undertake to invest up to C$100 million over the next three years. Encanto Potash stock moved up 20% to $0.06 following the announcement.
Finally, HIVE Blockchain Technologies Ltd. (TSXV: HIVE) shares continued to power higher Wednesday, up 46% to $1.84. Late Tuesday, U.S. Global Investors, Inc. it said has exposure to 17 million shares of HIVE through a strategic investment. HIVE Blockchain stock has soared nearly 150% since opening at $0.74 in its TSX Venture exchange debut on Monday.
