Commercial production and a guidance boost propelled shares of a junior gold miner Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, June 13, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):

Alacer Gold Corp. (TSX:ASR) shares climbed 10% to $4.10 on Thursday after the junior gold miner announced that commercial production has been achieved at its Çöpler sulfide plant in Turkey, effective May 31, 2019. The Company added that it has increased the oxide plant guidance range to 125,000 to 145,000 gold ounces from 90,000 to 110,000, due to the continued strong performance from the oxide plant.

As well, shares of Spectra7 Microsystems Inc. (TSX:SEV) gained 56% to $0.07 as the provider of analog semiconductor products for broadband connectivity markets said it and Tencent have launched the CRX (Copper Reach Extension) Consortium to accelerate the adoption of active copper cable products using technology from Spectra7.

Zomedica Pharmaceuticals Corp. (TSXV:ZOM), meanwhile, reported that it has completed initial development work on a blood-borne lymphoma cancer assay intended for use with its canine cancer liquid biopsy platform. Zomedica Pharmaceuticals stock popped 14% to $0.37 following the announcement.
