Gold drill results sparked much speculation in shares of a junior explorer Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):

Westhaven Ventures Inc. (TSXV:WHN) shares surged 119% to $0.81 on Wednesday after the junior explorer announced further results from the recently-completed drill campaign at its 15,542 hectare Shovelnose gold property in British Columbia, which included 17.77 metres of 24.50 g/t gold and 107.92 g/t silver.

As well, shares of Verde AgriTech Plc (TSX:NPK) climbed 22% to $0.78 as the agricultural technology company said it has received orders that match its total production capacity for 2018 and it expects to reach a total of 800,000 tonnes per annum of capacity by early 2020.

Sable Resources Ltd. (TSXV:SAE) stock, meanwhile, continued to move higher Wednesday, up 28% to $0.32 following a 4% gain on Tuesday, after the Company reported the staking of a 189,197 hectare land package covering over 70% of workable ground of the Spences Bridge Gold Belt in southern British Colombia and has also formed a strategic alliance with Westhaven Ventures Inc.
