Junior Explorer Powers Higher on Gold Drill Results

Transition Metals Corp. (TSXV:XTM), a junior explorer, surged after announcing assay results from the Highland Gold property in Nova Scotia

More than a few speculators took a shine to gold assay results from a junior explorer in the Maritimes Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):

Transition Metals Corp. (TSXV:XTM) shares jumped 88% to $0.15 on Tuesday after the junior explorer announced assay results from a Rotary Air Blast drilling program completed at the Highland Gold property in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, which included 9.14 metres grading 23.22 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.

As well, shares of Adamera Minerals Corp. (TSXV:ADZ) sank 46% to $0.035 as the gold explorer released assay results for drill hole OS18-02B at the Oversight Project in Washington State, which returned a “number of lower-grade gold intercepts.” The Company added, though, that results from OS18-04 drilled further to the north are pending.

NextSource Materials Inc. (TSX:NEXT), meanwhile, reported that it has received conditional approval for its Global Environmental Permit for the Molo Graphite Project from the Madagascar Ministry of Environment’s Office. NextSource Materials stock moved up 18% to $0.10 following the announcement.
