Copper drill results from Quebec lifted shares of a junior explorer Friday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, June 14, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):
PowerOre Inc. (TSXV:PORE) shares climbed 5% to $0.105 on Friday after the junior explorer announced results of the first three drill holes from its spring 2019 drill program at the Opemiska Copper Mine Complex in Quebec, which included 1.41% copper equivalent over 58.1 metres.
As well, shares of Theratechnologies Inc. (TSX:TH) rose 8% to $7.47 as the specialty pharmaceutical company said it received additional data from the recently-completed study conducted at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, as well as the National Institutes of Health, which demonstrated the positive impact of tesamorelin in patients with liver fibrosis.
Sherritt International Corporation (TSX:S), meanwhile, reported that its Cuban partners have formally ratified an overdue receivables agreement for repayment of amounts owed to Sherritt from Energas S.A. of US$150 million, and have made the first monthly payment of US$2.6 million. Sherritt International stock moved up 12% to $0.19 following the announcement.
