Junior Explorer Surges on Assay Results

GT Gold Corp. (TSXV:GTT), a junior explorer, climbed after announcing assay results for its Tatogga property in B.C.’s Golden Triangle

More promising Golden Triangle drill results sparked much speculation in shares of a junior explorer Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):

GT Gold Corp. (TSXV:GTT) shares jumped 46% to $1.14 on Wednesday after the junior explorer announced assay results for the latest holes from the Saddle North target on its wholly-owned Tatogga property in the Golden Triangle district of British Columbia, which included 363 metres of 1.02 g/t gold, 0.51% copper, 1.72 g/t silver.

As well, shares of BlackPearl Resources Inc. (TSX:PXX) rose 9% to $1.41 as the heavy oil and natural gas company said it has agreed to be acquired by International Petroleum Corp. (TSX:IPCO) in all-stock transaction. BlackPearl shareholders will receive 0.22 shares of IPC for each BlackPearl share held.

Neovasc Inc. (TSX:NVCN), meanwhile, reported that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted Breakthrough Device designation to the Neovasc Reducer, a medical device for the treatment of refractory angina, which is not currently approved for commercial sale in the United States. Neovasc stock popped 13% to $3.57 following the announcement.

Finally, Theralase Technologies Inc. (TSXV:TLT) shares gained 13% to $0.34 after the clinical-stage pharmaceutical company announced that Theralase affiliated researchers have presented immunohistochemical analytical data supporting the use of TLD-1433 Photo Dynamic Therapy in the destruction of gastrointestinal dysplasia and esophageal cancer.
