GT Gold Corp. (TSXV:GTT), a junior explorer, climbed after receiving an investment from Newmont Goldcorp

A multi-million dollar investment from Newmont Goldcorp propelled shares of a junior explorer Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, November 28, 2019 (as of 11:30 am EST):

GT Gold Corp. (TSXV:GTT) shares jumped 17% to $1.05 on Thursday after the junior explorer announced that it has received a C$8.3 million investment from Newmont Goldcorp Corporation via a private placement priced at $1.20 per share. Upon completion, Newmont Goldcorp will own 14.9% of GT Gold’s outstanding shares.

As well, shares of Robex Resources Inc. (TSXV:RBX) rose 9% to $0.125 as the junior gold miner said its third-quarter gold production increased 19% year over year to a record 15,175 ounces, while gold sales for Q3 surged 29% to $25.5 million and operating income for the period reached $7.3 million.

BTU Metals Corp. (TSXV:BTU), meanwhile, reported that in the course of its current drill campaign towards the southern portion of the Dixie Halo property in northwestern Ontario, the Company has discovered what it calls “compelling indications suggestive of a notable volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) target.” BTU Metals stock moved up 15% to $0.15 following the announcement.

Finally, Avricore Health Inc. (TSXV:AVCR) shares gained 83% to $0.055 after the health innovator announced that it will be placing its HealthTab systems in 11 new community pharmacy locations, more than doubling the current number of locations.
