Great Atlantic Resources Corp. (TSXV.GR), a junior explorer, shot up after announcing its first analytical results from the Golden Promise Gold Project

Soil sample assays sparked a bit of excitement in shares of a junior explorer Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, September 27, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):
Great Atlantic Resources Corp. (TSXV.GR) shares jumped 130% to $0.115 on Thursday after the junior explorer announced that it has received the first analytical results from the 2018 exploration program at its Golden Promise Gold Project in Newfoundland, which included soil sample assays as high as 77 PPB gold. The Company added that it believes it has discovered a large new gold zone.
As well, shares of MOBI724 Global Solutions Inc. (TSXV:MOS) slipped 16% to $0.08 as the global FinTech company said Rachel Girard, currently the Company’s Financial Director, will succeed Derek Lindsay as its Chief Financial Officer.
DiaMedica Therapeutics Inc. (TSXV:DMA), meanwhile, reported that it has entered into a license and collaboration agreement with a subsidiary of Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co. Ltd, (Fosun Pharma), allowing the subsidiary, Ahon Pharma, to have exclusive rights to develop and commercialize DM199 for acute ischemic stroke in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong S.A.R. and Macau S.A.R. Fosun Pharma is one of China’s largest pharmaceutical firms with annual sales of more than US$2 billion. DiaMedica Therapeutics stock popped 18% to $0.55 following the announcement.
Finally, Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. (TSXV:BGM) shares rose 3% to $0.39 after the gold junior announced drilling results from the ongoing 2018 Cow Mountain exploration and category conversion program at its flagship Cariboo Gold Project in British Columbia, which included 10.70 g/t gold over 5.85 meters.
