A junior explorer got a bit of attention Wednesday when a copper property revealed significant gold potential. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Candente Copper Corp. (TSX: DNT) shares climbed 5% to $0.10 on Wednesday after the junior explorer announced that it has conducted a review of all diamond drilling information from Compañia Minera Zahena S.A.C. from its Arikepay property in Peru and has identified potential for what the Company calls “significant gold mineralization.”

As well, shares of Tahoe Resources Inc. (TSX: THO) slipped 11% to $6.25 as the precious metals miner said the Guatemalan Supreme Court has declined to review the Company’s request to order the Ministry of Energy and Mines to issue the annual renewal of the Escobal mine’s export credential.

Africa Hydrocarbons Inc. (TSXV: NFK.H), meanwhile, reported that is seeking to complete a “change of business” transaction that would transform it into a technology company, with a focus on blockchain technologies. Africa Hydrocarbons stock popped 32% to $0.95 following the announcement.
