An option on a property near a gold mine boosted shares of a junior explorer Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):
Emgold Mining Corporation (TSXV:EMR) shares gained 17% to $0.07 on Wednesday after the junior explorer announced that it has signed an Option Agreement to acquire up to a 50% interest in the East-West Property in Quebec from a private individual. The Property is located in the Val d’Or Mining Camp on strike, west of, and adjacent to Wesdome Gold Mines’ Kiena Complex Property.
As well, shares of Correvio Pharma Corp. (TSX:CORV) plummeted 67% to $0.60 as the specialty pharmaceutical company said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Cardiovascular and Renal Drugs Advisory Committee (CRDAC) failed to approve the Company’s New Drug Application for Brinavess.
Kew Media Group Inc. (TSX:KEW), meanwhile, reported that its Board of Directors plans to examine strategic alternatives for the Company, which could include, among other things, the sale of part or all of the Company, a merger or other business combination with another party, new capital initiatives or other strategic transactions. Kew Media stock dropped 36% to $2.50 following the announcement.
