Peruvian drill results put shares of a junior explorer on the map Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 (as of 11:30 am EST):
Chakana Copper Corp. (TSXV:PERU) shares jumped 70% to $0.85 on Wednesday after the junior explorer announced assay results from five additional diamond drill holes drilled to date at its Soledad copper-gold-silver project in Peru, which included 22 metres of 3.89 g/t gold, 1.18% copper, and 21.3 g/t silver from 47 metres.
As well, shares of Kintavar Exploration Inc. (TSXV:KTR) gained 15% to $0.45 as the copper explorer revealed assays of the first four drill holes from its 2017-2018 winter drilling program at the Mitchi property in Quebec, which included 120 metres of 0.34% copper and 2.90 g/t silver.
Advanced Proteome Therapeutics Corporation (TSXV:APC), meanwhile, reported that it has made what it calls “very significant progress” in its scientific program that has bolstered opportunities for achieving commercial success, which includes the realization of critical milestones to enable the advancement of its technology to the next level of development. Advanced Proteome Therapeutics stock popped 229% to $0.115 following the announcement.
Finally, Smartcool Systems Inc. (TSXV:SSC) shares rose 50% to $0.075 after the provider of energy cost reduction solutions announced that given the successful installation and proven energy savings at its Data Centre located in Hampshire UK, it is now focusing on Cryptocurrencies, BlockChain applications and Cannabis growers in North America.
