An option to acquire a Newfoundland gold property boosted shares of a junior explorer Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):
Canstar Resources Inc. (TSXV:ROX) shares jumped 44% to $0.195 on Wednesday after the junior explorer announced that it has entered into an option agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the Golden Baie Project in Newfoundland from a subsidiary of Altius Minerals Corporation. Altius will also increase its ownership stake in Canstar from 7.5% to 14.0%.
As well, shares of Tinkerine Studios Ltd. (TSXV:TTD) sank 40% to $0.105 as the provider of 3D printing products said its second-quarter revenue fell to $154,896 from $215,200 during the same period last year.
Mimi’s Rock Corp. (TSXV:MIMI), meanwhile, reported Q2 revenue that rose 25% year over year to a record $10.9 million, while swinging to a profit of $928,165 from a loss of $1,240,051 a year earlier. Mimi’s Rock stock popped 14% to $0.40 following the announcement.
Finally, Environmental Waste International Inc. (TSXV:EWS) shares gained 100% to $0.13 after the provider of eco-friendly systems for the breakdown of organic materials announced that it has signed an agreement with WindSpace A/S, a Danish development and investment company, to develop waste tire recycling plants across Europe.
