Mexican copper and gold assays sparked a bit of speculation in shares of a junior explorer Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):
Azucar Minerals Ltd. (TSXV:AMZ) shares climbed 15% to $0.425 on Wednesday after the junior explorer announced results from its ongoing drilling program at the El Cobre porphyry copper-gold project in Mexico, which included 161.20 metres of 0.23 g/t gold and 0.15% copper.
As well, shares of Platinum Group Metals Ltd. (TSX:PTM) slipped 13% to $0.20 as the palladium project developer said it plans to consolidate its common shares on the basis of one new share for 10 old shares when the markets open on December 17, 2018.
Prospera Energy, Inc. (TSXV:PEI), meanwhile, reported that following the closing of the acquisition of three oil and gas properties in Saskatchewan and eastern Alberta, all three properties have been in production to date. Prospera Energy stock moved up 40% to $0.14 following the announcement.
