Junior Explorer Rises on Copper Gold Drill Results

Avrupa Minerals Ltd. (TSXV:AVU), a junior explorer, moved higher after announcing results at its Sesmarias Prospect in Portugal

European copper and gold drilling results lifted shares of a junior explorer Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):

Avrupa Minerals Ltd. (TSXV:AVU) shares gained 25% to $0.05 on Tuesday after the junior explorer announced drilling results at its 100%-owned Sesmarias Prospect in Portugal, which included 28.95 meters of 0.48% copper and 0.77 g/t gold.

As well, shares of Viemed Healthcare, Inc. (TSX:VMD) slipped 9% to $6.44 as the home medical equipment supplier said it appears as though the current suspension of the Competitive Bidding Program (CBP) program will continue until 2021 (the Company is currently serving patients in 39 of these CBP areas), and it currently expects that it will continue to expand its patient base in those areas during its current geographical expansion.

Solo Growth Corp. (TSXV:SOLO), meanwhile, reported that three of the Company’s Alberta retail locations have been inspected by the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission and four of the Company’s additional Alberta retail locations will be ready for inspection in the coming weeks. Solo Growth stock moved up as much as 8% before ending unchanged at $0.06 following the announcement.
