Gold assay results south of the border weighed on shares of a junior explorer Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):

Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. (TSXV:BAY) shares sank 37% to $0.06 on Wednesday after the junior explorer announced initial results of its recently-completed drill program at the Buckingham Gold Project in Virginia, which included 35.61 g/t gold over 2.03 metres.

As well, shares of Benchmark Metals Inc. (TSXV:BNCH) rose 16% to $0.335 as the resource junior revealed historical results from the Amethyst Breccia Zone at the Lawyers Project in British Columbia, which included 259.76 g/t gold and 3,320.3 g/t silver over three metres.

Transat AT Inc. (TSX:TRZ), meanwhile, reported that it has received an acquisition proposal from Group Mach Inc., the largest independent real estate developer and owner in Quebec, to acquire Transat at a price of $14 per share in cash. Transat AT stock moved up 12% to $13.24 following the announcement.

Finally, Helius Medical Technologies, Inc. (TSX:HSM) shares jumped 11% to $4.20 after the neurotech company announced that three new clinics have been authorized to provide Portable Neuromodulation Stimulator (PoNS) treatment in Canada. PoNS is a noninvasive medical device for use as an acute treatment of chronic balance deficit due to mild-to-moderate traumatic brain injury.
