A pilot plant permitting announcement powered shares of a graphite junior Monday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Monday, January 6, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):

South Star Mining Corp. (TSXV:STS) shares climbed 44% to $0.065 on Monday after the graphite junior announced that it has completed and formally submitted the environmental permitting documents to the responsible permitting consortium for the construction and operations of a 5000 tonne/year pilot plant facility at the Santa Cruz Graphite Project in Brazil.

As well, shares of Cantex Mine Development Corp. (TSXV:CD) sank 27% to $0.84 as the resource junior provided an update on the work program at its Massive Sulphide project within its 100% owned North Rackla claim in the Yukon, saying that ground geophysical surveys were unable to define known massive sulphide mineralization.

Blackrock Gold Corp. (TSXV:BRC), meanwhile, reported assay results on its recently acquired, 100% controlled Silver Cloud project in Nevada, which included a 1.5 metre vein zone intersect grading 8.32 g/t gold starting at 263 metres. Blackrock Gold stock eased 9% to $0.20 following the announcement.
