Graphite purity was good news for some shareholders Thursday, while a gold junior fell following a share sale. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, March 17, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):
Graphite One Resources Inc. (TSXV: GPH) shares climbed 4% to $0.135 on Thursday as the graphite project developer announced that it has completed the first three phases of its five phase exploratory Product Development Program to produce carbon-coated spherical graphite, achieving a minimum purity level of 99.98+% Cg in three samples totaling 3,000g.
As well, shares of Galane Gold Ltd. (TSXV: GG) slipped 17% to $0.05 after IAMGOLD Corporation said that it has sold all 21,875,000 common shares of the junior gold miner that it previously held.
CardioComm Solutions, Inc. (TSXV: EKG), meanwhile, reported that it has entered into a two-year renewable sales, marketing and ECG services agreement with Versante Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd, in which Versante will develop sales and marketing channels for the handheld HeartCheck ECG devices and provide India-based ECG reading service to the consumer market as well as to long-term care facilities, small and medium sized clinics and hospitals in India. CardioComm Solutions stock moved up as much as 22% before ending unchanged at $0.045 following the announcement.
Finally, Petrodorado Energy Ltd. (TSXV: PDQ) shares rose 11% to $0.41 after the oil and gas explorer/developer announced that it would be making a special distribution to its shareholder of C$0.42 per share in cash after it liquidated its holdings in Amerisur Resources PLC.
