Zenyatta Ventures Ltd. (TSXV:ZEN), a graphite junior, moved up after announcing a strategic focus on graphene

A move into graphene sparked a bit of excitement in shares of a graphite junior Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):

Zenyatta Ventures Ltd. (TSXV:ZEN) shares shot up 9% to $0.58 on Tuesday after the graphite junior announced a strategic focus on the nanomaterial called graphene, which the Company said is easily converted from its highly crystalline Albany graphite deposit in northern Ontario. Zenyatta added that a significant business opportunity has now evolved related to this graphene product, which currently sells at prices of US$1000’s/kg.

As well, shares of Lithium Chile Inc. (TSXV:LITH) rose 14% to $1.03 as the lithium explorer said it plans to spin out its Chilean copper gold assets.

Polaris Infrastructure Inc. (TSX:PIF), meanwhile, reported that it has successfully flow-tested its new production wells SJ 12-4 and SJ 12-5 in Nicaragua, while demonstrating the ability to maintain sufficient temperature and pressure. Polaris Infrastructure stock moved up 10% to $19.42 following the announcement.
