Gold Junior Surges on BC Drill Results

Many speculators took a shine to additional drill results from a gold junior Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):

Westhaven Ventures Inc. (TSXV:WHN) shares powered 22% higher to $1.07 on Wednesday after the gold junior announced additional drill results from its Shovelnose gold property in British Columbia, which included 46.20 metres of 8.95 g/t gold and 65.47 g/t silver.

As well, shares of Maxar Technologies Ltd. (TSX:MAXR) sank 45% to $19.68 as the vertically-integrated space and geospatial intelligence company said its 2018 revenue on a pro-forma basis is expected to decline roughly 6.5% from 2017 on a lower-than-expected outlook from the Company’s Space Systems and Services Segment.

Excelsior Mining Corp. (TSX:MIN), meanwhile, reported that it has entered into an agreement for a US$75 million project financing package to put its fully-permitted Gunnison Copper Project in Arizona into production. Excelsior Mining stock moved up 12% to $1.04 following the announcement.

Finally, Sable Resources Ltd. (TSXV:SAE) shares gained 8% to $0.27 after the junior explorer announced that drilling has begun at the Heaven Hill target at its Don Julio Project in Argentina.
