Gold Junior Surges on Drill Results

More than a few speculators took a shine to a gold junior Tuesday following Nevada drill results. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):

Walker River Resources Corp. (TSXV:WRR) shares powered 29% higher to $0.225 on Tuesday after the gold junior announced additional drill results from the late 2018 reverse circulation drill program on the Lapon Canyon Gold Project in Nevada, which included 10.23 g/t gold (uncut) over 19.9 meters.

As well, shares of Prophecy Development Corp. (TSX:PCY) fell 5% to $0.19 as the vanadium project developer said Gerald Panneton has resigned as the President & Chief Executive Officer and as a director of the Company effective February 15, 2019.

MediPharm Labs Corp. (TSXV:LABS), meanwhile, reported that its common shares are now listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FSE) trading under the ticker symbol “MLZ.” MediPharm Labs stock moved up 9% to $2.97 following the announcement.

Finally, Fire & Flower Holdings Corp. (TSXV:FAF) shares slipped 11% to $1.34 after the Canadian cannabis company announced that its subsidiary has entered into agreements with two of the initial 25 applicants that have been selected by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to apply for cannabis Retail Operator Licenses in the East Region of Ontario. The agreements provide Fire & Flower with licensing and consulting fees as well as an option to purchase each of the applicant’s interest in the retail locations after the expiry of the lottery process.
