A big-dollar investment sparked a bit of buying in shares of a gold junior Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, January 17, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):
Velocity Minerals Ltd. (TSXV:VLC) shares gained 14% to $0.21 on Thursday after the gold junior announced that Atlantic Gold Corporation (TSXV:AGB) has agreed to invest C$9.0 million into Velocity via a private placement at a price of C$0.21 per unit.
As well, shares of Trevali Mining Corporation (TSX:TV) slipped 10% to $0.35 as the base metals miner said it expects to produce between 361 million and 401 million pounds of payable zinc, 44 million and 49 million pounds of payable lead, and 1.3 million and 1.5 million ounces of payable silver in 2019.
Jetlines Ltd. (TSXV:JET), meanwhile, reported that it intends to provide future service to several sun destinations in Mexico, including Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, and Cancun. Jetlines stock moved up 7% to $0.63 following the announcement.
Finally, HIT Technologies Inc. (TSXV:HIT) shares rose 20% to $0.03 after the provider of mobile accessories announced that the HITCASE SPLASH, a waterproof, drop-proof, protective case for the iPhone 7/7 PLUS, 8/8 PLUS, X, Xs, Xs Max and XR, has officially launched into all 1,000 Best Buy retail locations across the United States.
