Gold Junior Jumps on Properties Acquisition

Nikos Explorations Ltd. (CVE:NIK), a gold junior, surged after signing a LOI to acquire gold properties in Labrador

Speculators reacted positively to a gold junior Monday following the acquisition of gold properties from a famous prospector. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Monday, September 11, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Nikos Explorations Ltd. (TSXV: NIK) shares shot up 56% to $0.14 on Monday after the gold junior announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent with Shawn Ryan to acquire gold properties in Labrador.

As well, shares of ESSA Pharma Inc. (TSX: EPI) plunged 38% to $0.37 as the pharmaceutical company revealed results from the Phase 1 portion of the Phase 1/2 clinical trial of EPI-506 for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer that was presented at the European Society for Medical Oncology.

CVR Medical Corp. (TSXV: CVM), meanwhile, reported that an institutional research report has been released by RB Milestone Group, LLC on CVR Medical titled “Revolutionizing the Vascular Diagnostics Market.” CVR Medical stock moved up 20% to $0.455 following the announcement.

Finally, POET Technologies Inc. (TSXV: PTK) shares continued to move higher Monday before slipping 3% to close at $0.35. On Friday, POET stock surged 22% after announcing that its wholly-owned subsidiary, DenseLight Semiconductors, has introduced a new family of its specialized external cavity narrow linewidth laser products with enhanced capabilities.
