Gold Junior Glisters on Sampling Results

Providence Gold Mines Inc. (CVE:PHD), a gold junior, climbed after announcing results from underground sampling of its Providence Gold Mine

Sampling results sparked a bit of interest in shares of a gold junior Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, November 2, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Providence Gold Mines Inc. (TSXV:PHD) shares jumped 43% to $0.20 on Thursday after the gold junior announced results from underground sampling of its Providence Gold Mine in California, which included 1.8 metres of 16.33 g/t gold.

As well, shares of Sleep Country Canada Holdings Inc. (TSX:ZZZ) fell 13% to $33.58 as the specialty mattress retailer said its third-quarter revenue rose 10% to $177.1 million, while adjusted net income for the period increased 7.6% to $23.5 million.

Kinaxis (TSX:KXS), meanwhile, reported that its third-quarter revenue increased 12% to $33.5 million, while its profit for quarter surged to $6.0 million from $2.4 million during the same period last year. Kinaxis stock moved up 12% to $70.96 following the announcement.

Finally, Great Lakes Graphite Inc. (TSXV:GLK) shares gained 36% to $0.075 after the graphite junior announced that it has drafted a definitive agreement with Ashland Advanced Materials to manufacture battery-grade graphite products at commercial scale, which the Company expects will be executed by the end of November.
