Gold Junior Climbs on Drill Results

HighGold Mining Inc. (TSXV:HIGH), a gold junior, surged after announcing assay results from its Johnson Tract Gold Project

Alaska assay results attracted a few speculators to shares of a gold junior Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):

HighGold Mining Inc. (TSXV:HIGH) shares jumped 19% to $2.83 on Wednesday after the gold junior announced assay results for the first two holes of a 15,000 meter drill program currently underway at its flagship Johnson Tract Gold Project in Alaska, which included 74.1 meters grading 17.89 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.

As well, shares of Pivot Technology Solutions, Inc. (TSX:PTG) surged 38% to $2.56 as the information technology provider said it has agreed to be acquired by Computacenter plc for C$2.60 per share in cash, or a total consideration of about C$105.8 million.

Trillium Therapeutics Inc. (TSX:TRIL), meanwhile, reported that it has received a $25.0 million equity investment from Pfizer Inc. at a price of $10.88 per share. Trillium Therapeutics stock popped 43% to $17.93 following the announcement.

Finally, Avricore Health Inc. (TSXV:AVCR) shares gained 100% to $0.05 after the provider of pharmacy-based, point-of-care testing solutions announced that it plans to offer its HealthTab system as a stand-alone service to improve COVID19 case reporting.
