A high-grade intersection from Mexico propelled shares of a gold junior Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):
Goldplay Exploration Ltd. (TSXV:GPLY) shares surged 14% to $0.20 on Tuesday after the gold junior announced an intersection of one metre of 204.6 g/t gold, which the Company said has defined a new gold mineralized zone close to surface, from its first core drill hole at the San Marcial Project in Mexico.
As well, shares of American Creek Resources Ltd. (TSXV:AMK) gained 33% to $0.08 as the junior explorer said it has released results from the first three diamond drill holes at the Goldstorm Zone on the Treaty Creek Joint Venture project in the Golden Triangle district of British Columbia, which included 1.095 g/t gold over 370.5 meters.
Aethon Minerals Corp. (TSXV:AET), meanwhile, reported that it has agreed to be acquired by AbraPlata Resource Corp. (TSXV:ABRA) in an all-stock transaction. Aethon shareholders will receive 3.75 AbraPlata common shares for each Aethon share held. Aethon Minerals stock popped as much as 18% following the announcement.
