Gold Junior Climbs on Leadership Update

Gold X Mining Corp. (TSXV:GLDX), a gold junior, gained ground after appointing Paul Matysek as its CEO and Board Chairman

A new CEO with a proven track record attracted investors to a gold junior Wednesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 (as of 4 pm  EST):

Gold X Mining Corp. (TSXV:GLDX) shares jumped 17% to $1.51 on Wednesday after the gold junior announced that it has appointed Paul Matysek as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Matysek is the former Executive Chairman of Lithium X Energy Corp., which was sold to Nextview New Energy Lion Hong Kong Limited for $265 million.

As well, shares of AirBoss of America Corp. (TSX:BOS) continued to move higher Wednesday, up 13% to $9.10 following a 43% gain on Tuesday, as the manufacturer of rubber-based products said AirBoss Defense Group has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the manufacture and sale of 100,000 FlexAir Powered Air Purifying Respirator systems, 600,000 filters, and related accessories. The contract is expected to be worth US$96.4 million.

Covalon Technologies Ltd. (TSXV:COV), meanwhile, reported that it has developed an antimicrobial technology formulated to kill the COVID-19 virus and other viruses, bacteria, and pathogens. Covalon Technologies stock moved up 44% to $1.84 following the announcement.

Finally, G6 Materials Corp. (TSXV:GGG) shares rose 23% to $0.08 after the company announced that its Research & Development Department has developed a solution for air purification products that are designed to mitigate the threat of virus infection in confined spaces such as offices and industrial warehouses.
