GoldQuest Mining Corp. (CVE:GQC), a gold junior, glistered after announcing assay results from its Romero Project in the Dominican Republic

High-grade drill results sparked much speculation in a gold junior Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, July 13, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):
GoldQuest Mining Corp. (TSXV: GQC) shares jumped 20% to $0.425 on Thursday after the gold junior announced assay results from the latest four-hole batch of drill holes from the ongoing Tireo exploration drill program at its Romero Project in the Dominican Republic, which included 12 metres grading 8.2 g/t gold equivalent.
As well, shares of International Frontier Resources Corporation (TSXV: IFR) slid 10% to $0.26 as the oil and gas junior said it was not awarded any licenses following the Mexican Energy Reform Onshore Bid Round 2.3 completed on July 12, 2017.
Electrovaya Inc. (TSX: EFL), meanwhile, reported that it has sold Euro 1 million (approximately C$1.45 million) of lithium ion cells for electric vehicle application to an electric vehicle producer. Electrovaya stock popped 37% to $1.33 following the announcement.
Finally, Nighthawk Gold Corp. (TSX: NHK) shares rose 9% to $0.87 after the gold explorer announced additional drill results from its wholly-owned Colomac Gold Project in the Northwest Territories, which included 55.35 metres grading 3.00 grams per tonne gold (uncut).
