High-grade drill results sparked much speculation in shares of a gold junior Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, September 5, 2019 (as of 11:30 am EST):
Compass Gold Corp. (TSXV:CVB) shares powered 42% higher to $0.355 on Thursday after the gold junior announced results from the recently-completed diamond core drilling program at the Farabakoura artisanal workings as part of the Sikasso Property in Mali, which included 6.1 metres of 65.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 19.5 metres.
As well, shares of Electrovaya Inc. (TSX:EFL) climbed 18% to $0.20 as the manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries, battery systems, and battery-related products for energy storage, clean electric transportation and other specialized applications said it has secured new purchase orders, valued at approximately C$7.3 million, under a contract with Walmart Canada for its forklift battery systems.
Libero Copper & Gold Corporation (TSXV:LBC), meanwhile, reported results from the early-stage sampling program at the Big Red property in the Golden Triangle region of British Columbia, which included 6.14 g/t gold over 100 metres in two contiguous samples. Libero Copper & Gold stock moved up 35% to $0.195 following the announcement.
