Gold assays glistered as the precious metal surged Thursday, while financials sank shares of a software maker. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, February 11, 2016 (as of 4 pm EST):

CXB logoCalibre Mining Corp. (TSXV: CXB) shares jumped 21% to $0.085 on Thursday after resource project developer announced drill results from its La Luz Project in Nicaragua, which included 26.03 metres grading 6.39 g/t gold (uncut). Centerra Gold Inc. can earn a 70% interest in the La Luz Project by investing $7.0 million in exploration on the property before December 31, 2019.

As well, shares of Redknee Solutions Inc. (TSX: RKN) sank 40% to $1.58 as the provider of real-time monetization and subscriber management software said its Q1 revenue fell to $50.1 million from $62.6 million during same period last year, while it also swung to a quarterly loss of $4.3 million.

IWG Technologies Inc. (TSXV: IWG), meanwhile, reported its first-quarter financial results, which saw its net income increase 7% along a 6% rise in revenue. IWG stock, though, slipped 12% to $0.295 following the announcement.
