An acquisition in the junior gold space pushed shares of a gold junior sharply higher Monday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Monday, September 23, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):
Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. (TSXV:BGM) shares jumped as much as 22% on Monday after the gold junior announced that it has agreed to be acquired by Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd. (TSX:OR) in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately C$338 million. Barkerville Gold shareholders will receive 0.0357 of a common share of Osisko Gold Royalties for each Barkerville share held.
As well, shares of Unigold Inc. (TSXV:UGD) continued to move higher Monday, up 43% to $0.25. The gold explorer’s stock price has gained 47% since Thursday after revealing that Eric Sprott made an additional $1 million investment in the Company at a price of $0.10 per unit.
Helio Resource Corp. (TSXV:HRC), meanwhile, reported that CE Mining Limited has acquired 833,333 units of Helio at a price of $0.06 per unit. Helio Resource stock moved up 133% to $0.14 following the announcement.
