Near-surface drill results sparked a bit of speculation in shares of a gold explorer Monday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Monday, September 14, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):
Rupert Resources Ltd. (TSXV:RUP) shares climbed 29% to $3.60 on Monday after the gold explorer announced new drill results from its 100% owned Pahtavaara Project in Finland, which included 3.0 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 171.2 metres from 19.8 metres.
As well, shares of Kodiak Copper Corp. (TSXV:KDK) gained 31% to $2.40 as the copper junior said it has received a C$10.5 million equity investment from Teck Resources Limited, representing a 9.9% equity interest in the Company.
Neo Lithium Corp. (TSXV:NLC), meanwhile, reported that it will receive an C$8.5 million equity investment from a subsidiary of Chinese battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology at price of $0.84 per share, representing an 8% equity stake in the Company. Neo Lithium stock popped 31% to $0.76 following the announcement.
Finally, Trillium Therapeutics Inc. (TSX:TRIL) shares rose 5% to $19.59 after S&P Dow Jones Indices announced that the Company’s stock will be included in the S&P/TSX Composite Index before the open of trading on Monday, September 21, 2020.
