GGX Gold Corp. (CVE:GGX), a gold explorer, glistered after announcing sample results from the Gold Drop property in British Columbia

Sample results could be just a ‘drop’ in the bucket for a gold explorer and its stock price Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, June 15, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):
GGX Gold Corp. (TSXV: GGX) shares gained 22% to $0.225 on Thursday after the gold explorer announced that its excavator trenching program at the Gold Drop property in British Columbia, which was initiated after the discovery of new anomalous quartz outcrop exposed by logging, has now unearthed over 80 meters of vein on both sides of the C.O.D. shaft, with samples taken from the new outcrop yielding up to 19.65 g/t gold.
As well, shares of Home Capital Group Inc. (TSX: HCG) jumped 13% to $13.67 as the provider of residential and non-residential mortgage lending said it has reached two agreements, which together comprise a global settlement with the Ontario Securities Commission and with respect to the putative class action commenced in February 2017 by Claire R. McDonald, relating to allegations of misleading disclosure.
Legend Power Systems Inc. (TSXV: LPS), meanwhile, reported that its energy saving Harmonizer was listed as one of a select group of technologies approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education for its additional $1 billion facilities improvement funding. Legend Power Systems stock popped 15% to $0.39 following the announcement.
