Gold Explorer Climbs on Gold, Silver Assays

Prosper Gold Corp. (TSXV:PGX), a gold explorer, jumped after announcing results from the Currie Project

A few speculators took a shine to precious metals drill results from a gold explorer Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):

Prosper Gold Corp. (TSXV:PGX) shares shot up 37% to $0.13 on Tuesday, following a 46% gain on Monday, after the gold explorer announced results from its first diamond drill hole at the Currie Project southwest of Matheson, Ontario, which included six metres of 4.79 g/t gold and 118.4 g/t silver. Prosper Gold has the option to acquire a 100% interest in the Currie Project.

As well, shares of Katanga Mining Limited (TSX:KAT) slid 24% to $0.485 as the cobalt and copper miner said its 75%-owned operating subsidiary, Kamoto Copper Company SA, will temporarily suspend the export and sale of cobalt at its Kamoto Project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo until further notice, as uranium was recently detected in the cobalt hydroxide in levels that exceed the acceptable limit allowed for export.

PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (TSXV:PYR), meanwhile, reported that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with one of the largest Japanese trading houses concerning a potential joint venture partnership for the purpose of developing DROSRITE tolling services globally. PyroGenesis Canada stock moved up 11% to $0.62 following the announcement.
