A British Columbia gold/copper property acquisition boosted shares of a gold explorer Friday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Friday, January 11, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):

Nexus Gold Corp. (TSXV:NXS) shares climbed 23% to $0.135 on Friday after the gold explorer announced that it has completed the acquisition of the New Pilot Gold Project in British Columbia. The Project is an exploration-stage gold-copper property, covering approximately 509 hectares.

As well, shares of Pivot Technology Solutions, Inc. (TSX:PTG) slipped 6% to $1 as the information technology services and solutions provider said its fourth-quarter revenue is expected to be approximately US$310-315 million, down from US$321 million in Q3, due primarily to lower sales to major customers.

Aphria Inc. (TSX:APHA), meanwhile, reported that Vic Neufeld has decided to step down from his role as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer following the release of second-quarter financial results, in which net revenue rose 63% to $21.7 million but fell short of analyst expectations. Aphria stock moved up 5% to $9.18 following the announcement.
