Excitement seems to be building for shares of a gold explorer Wednesday following the resumption of drilling. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 (as of 4 pm EST):

Freegold Ventures Limited (TSX:FVL) shares continued to move higher Wednesday, up as much as 20% following a 21% gain on Tuesday, after the gold explorer announced that drilling has resumed on its Golden Summit Project in Alaska.

As well, shares of ProMIS Neurosciences, Inc. (TSX:PMN) surged 41% to $0.26 as the biotechnology company said it and its collaborator BC Neuroimmunology Lab Inc. have created a “highly accurate” antibody test for COVID-19.

Superior Gold Inc. (TSXV:SGI), meanwhile, reported results from the ongoing underground diamond drill program focused on reserve and resource expansion at its 100%-owned Plutonic Gold mine in Western Australia, which included 56.3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 15.10 metres. Superior Gold stock popped 16% to $0.80 following the announcement.

Finally, Baylin Technologies Inc. (TSX:BYL) shares slipped 9% to $1.07 after the wireless technology company announced that its first-quarter revenue decreased 31% year over year to $26.9 million, while Adjusted EBITDA for the period fell to $0.6 million from $4.1 million a year earlier.
