A takeover deal in the junior gold space caused shares of a gold explorer to shine Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):
Bison Gold Resources Inc. (TSXV: BGE) shares surged 100% to $0.54 on Tuesday after the gold explorer announced that it has agreed to be acquired by Klondex Mines Ltd. for either $0.59 per share in cash, Klondex stock, or a combination of both.
As well, shares of Great Canadian Gaming Corporation (TSX: GC) gained 18% to $30 as the operator of gaming, entertainment and hospitality facilities announced that it and Brookfield Business Partners L.P., together with its institutional partners, have been selected as the successful proponent by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation to operate certain gaming facilities in the Greater Toronto Area.
Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. (TSXV: BAY), meanwhile, reported that it has begun its 2017 field season at the Storm and Seal Properties on Somerset Island, Nunavut, which comprises a two-week field exploration program conducted in July 2017, and a property-wide geophysical program that is currently underway. Aston Bay Holdings stock moved up 19% to $0.16 following the announcement.
Finally, Millennial Esports Corp. (TSXV: GAME) shares jumped 20% to $0.90 after the video game streaming technology provider announced that it has agreed to acquire an approximate 82.5% majority interest in Eden Games, a French-based publisher of racing video games.
