Gold Explorer Soars on Assay Results

GT Gold Corp. (CVE:GTT), a gold explorer, shot up after announcing what it called a “significant new gold discovery”

A new discovery involving near-surface gold drill results sparked much speculation in a gold explorer Tuesday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

GT Gold Corp. (TSXV: GTT) shares surged 134% to $0.89 on Tuesday after the gold explorer announced what it called a “significant new gold discovery” at its Saddle South prospect in British Columbia, with assay results that included 13.03 g/t gold over 10.67 metres from 7.01 to 17.68 metres.

As well, shares of Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc. (TSXV: NOU) gained 10% to $0.335 as the graphite junior said it has signed a non-binding letter of intent with Hunan Zhongke Shinzoom Co. Ltd., a Chinese lithium-ion battery anode producer and developer, to market Li-Ion battery anode material in North America.

NuLegacy Gold Corporation (TSXV: NUG), meanwhile, reported that it has discovered what it calls “a material new gold zone” in a ‘wildcat’ step-out hole 375-meters west of the North zone of the Iceberg gold deposit in Nevada. NuLegacy Gold stock moved up 10% to $0.225 following the announcement.

Finally, Theralase Technologies Inc. (TSXV: TLT) shares jumped 26% to $0.455 after the biotechnology company announced that at the Maximum Recommended Starting Dose (0.35 mg/cm2) of its lead compound, TLD-1433, at the 90-day cystoscopy analysis, the Company has achieved the exploratory endpoint of efficacy in patients inflicted with Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer.
