A blockchain technologies stock sparked much speculation Wednesday as the sector continues to heat up. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 (as of 4 pm EST):

Leonovus Inc. (TSXV: LTV), a blockchain technologies stock, climbed 13% to $0.175 on Wednesday after announcing that it has a signed a product development agreement with DLT Labs to accelerate the engineering of the blockchain components of the Leonovus software-defined storage solution.

As well, shares of Aben Resources Ltd. (TSXV: ABN) sank 33% to $0.26 as the gold explorer released results for the first four drill holes of the Phase-One drill program at the Forrest Kerr Gold Project located in British Columbia, which included 0.26 g/t gold over 387.0 metres.

Pétrolia Inc. (TSXV: PEA) stock, meanwhile, popped 115% to $0.355 after it began trading following an extended halt. The Company reported recently that it plans to pay a special dividend of $0.0831 per Pétrolia share.
