A Canadian biopharma stock produced a healthy gain Monday following a U.S. patent announcement. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Monday, June 17, 2019 (as of 4 pm EST):

Sirona Biochem Corp. (TSXV:SBM), a Canadian biopharma stock, jumped 9% to $0.48 on Monday after announcing that the patent for TFC-1067 entitled “Gem Difluorocompounds as Depigmenting or Lightening Agents” was granted in the United States and will be published in the official database in the coming month.

As well, shares of Street Capital Group Inc. (TSX:SCB) surged 32% to $0.66 as the financial services company said it has agreed to be acquire by RFA Capital Holdings Inc. for $0.68 per share in cash, or a total consideration of approximately $85 million.

Liberty Defense Holdings, Ltd. (TSXV:SCAN), meanwhile, reported that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the German soccer team FC Bayern München, to beta test HEXWAVE. Liberty Defense stock moved up as much as 4% following the announcement.
