Base Metals Explorer Moves Higher on Drill Results

Assay results from a base metals explorer generated a bit of speculation Monday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Monday, July 9, 2018 (as of 11:30 am EST):

Wolfden Resources Corporation (TSXV:WLF) shares jumped 14% to $0.28 on Monday after the base metals explorer announced assay results from the ongoing infill and expansion drill program on its wholly-owned Pickett Mountain Project in Maine, which included 4.7 metres grading 24.0% zinc, 10.0% lead, and 267 g/t silver.

As well, shares of Precision Drilling Corporation (TSX:PD) rose 7% to $4.74 as the energy services company said it has been awarded one new build ST-3000 drilling rig in Kuwait under a five year take-or-pay contract with an optional one-year extension.

Pretium Resources Inc. (TSX:PVG), meanwhile, reported that it produced 187,000 ounces of gold during the first half of 2018 at its Brucejack mine in British Columbia and expects to produce 200,000 to 220,000 gold ounces during the second half of the year. Pretium Resources stock moved up 14% to $12.06 following the announcement.
