Spearmint Resources Inc. (TSXV:SRJ), a resource junior, rose after announcing that it has increased its land holding on the “Why West” magnesium prospect in British Columbia
A land holding expansion pushed up the stock price of a resource junior Thursday. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday, April 26, 2018 (as of 4 pm EST):
Spearmint Resources Inc. (TSXV:SRJ) shares gained 9% to $0.06 on Thursday after the resource junior announced that it has increased its land holding on the “Why West” magnesium prospect in British Columbia to approximately 10,300 acres.
As well, shares of New Gold Inc. (TSX:NGD) slipped 7% to $3 as the gold miner released its first-quarter financial results, which fell short of the analyst consensus revenue and earnings estimate.
Engagement Labs (TSXV:EL), meanwhile, reported that its TotalSocial data and analytics platform has exceeded expectations by generating more than C$7.3 million in contracts during the past 18 months. Engagement Labs stock popped 31% to $0.085 following the announcement.
Finally, Pancontinental Gold Corporation (TSXV:PUC) shares climbed as much as 21% before ending unchanged at $0.07 after the junior explorer announced that it has entered into an option agreement to earn up to a 76% interest in the McBride Nickel-Cobalt-Copper Project south of Bancroft, Ontario.
