A high purity
shipment sparked some speculation Thursday, while a drilling announcement was
met with a bit of buying. Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Thursday,
September 10, 2015 (as of 4 pm EST):
Orbite Technologies Inc. (TSX:
ORT) shares gained 7% to $0.245 on Thursday after the Canadian cleantech
company announced that it is shipping its first 5N+ high purity alumina samples
to prospective customers starting today.
As well,
shares of Sparton Resources Inc. (TSXV:
SRI) rose 67% to $0.025 as the mining and energy company said that, through
its majority controlled subsidiary, VanSpar Mining Inc., it has executed a
contract to fund the commissioning one of the world’s largest vanadium redox
flow batteries, with a capacity of 2 megawatts of power and 8 megawatt hours of
energy.
Rosita Mining Corporation (TSXV:
RST), meanwhile, reported that drilling has begun on the Rosita-D copper-gold-silver
supergene/skarn/porphyry concession in Nicaragua. Rosita Mining stock moved up
60% to $0.04 following the announcement.
